In a World Full of AI-Generated Content, Your Story Is Your Greatest Competitive Advantage
It has never been easier to produce a caption, an image, an email, or an entire content calendar. That is both exciting and a little strange.

The internet is getting louder
It has never been easier to produce a caption, an image, an email, or an entire content calendar. That is both exciting and a little strange. More businesses can show up consistently, but more content also means more sameness. You have probably noticed it yourself: the same hooks, the same polished language, the same advice rearranged into slightly different words. We do not think the answer is to reject AI. We think the answer is to remember what makes your business worth paying attention to in the first place.
A tool cannot live your experiences for you
AI can help you structure a story, but it has not been in the room with your customer. It has not made the difficult decision, learned the lesson, or felt the excitement when a project finally worked. Those experiences belong to you. As former musicians, Steve and I understand the difference between reproducing something technically and making someone feel something. In marketing, that feeling often comes from specificity. The moment you almost gave up. The unexpected thing a client taught you. The reason you chose a different path. Those details make your perspective recognizable.
Use technology as an editor, not your identity
Our favorite approach is to start with the raw material: a voice note, an interview, a meeting transcript, or a conversation about what you really believe. Then use AI to help find themes, organize ideas, and create drafts. Review everything. Remove phrases you would never say. Check the facts. Put the emotion and nuance back in. Your content should sound like a person who has actually done the work. This process takes intention, but it can be faster than staring at a blank page and more authentic than asking a tool to invent your personality.
Build recognition through repetition and honesty
You do not need a dramatic story every day. Share what you are building, what you are learning, and what you care about. Let the same core values show up across your website, social media, interviews, and emails. Over time, people begin to recognize your voice before they even see your name. That is a powerful advantage in an AI-saturated world. At Legacy Growth, we believe technology should help great stories travel farther. The story itself still has to come from you.
With love from the road, Steve & Nichole
