The New Age of PR: Why Visibility Is Everything for Entrepreneurs and Creators
When people hear public relations, they often picture a magazine feature or a television interview. Those can be incredible opportunities, but the world of visibility has expanded.

PR is bigger than a press mention
When people hear public relations, they often picture a magazine feature or a television interview. Those can be incredible opportunities, but the world of visibility has expanded. Today a founder might be discovered through a podcast, a thoughtful LinkedIn post, a creator collaboration, a local event, or a short video that reaches exactly the right audience. We think about PR as the ongoing work of helping the right people understand who you are, what you stand for, and why your expertise matters.
Start with a point of view
Before you pitch yourself anywhere, get clear on what you have to say. What conversations are you qualified to contribute to? What experience gives you a perspective people would find useful? What could you teach an audience in fifteen minutes? A strong pitch is not a request for someone to promote your business. It is an offer to make their audience smarter, more informed, or more inspired. When we help founders think about visibility, we begin with the story and the substance behind it.
Build relationships, not just a list of outlets
A good PR strategy includes research and patience. Listen to the podcast before pitching it. Read the publication. Understand the host’s audience. Offer a specific angle rather than a generic biography. When someone says yes, be prepared, generous, and easy to work with. Afterward, thank them, share the episode, and stay in touch. Relationships can open doors years after the first introduction. That is why we see PR as a long-term business asset rather than a one-week campaign.
Repurpose the opportunity
One conversation can become a short-form video, an article, an email, a series of social posts, and a credibility piece on your website, provided you have the rights and permission to reuse it. Give people a clear next step when they discover you. Make it easy to learn about your work. Visibility works best when it connects to a larger marketing system. We want founders to be known for something meaningful and to have the infrastructure in place when new people arrive. That is the intersection of PR, content, and execution we love most.
